What Every Digital Marketer Should know ?

Hello, Welcome to my page. Since you have landed here, I am assuming you are either a digital marketing enthusiastic or a digital marketing professional. Either way, what you’re about to read will definitely be useful to you. Bear with me, this is a long article, but that’s all the more reason for this particular article to be highly valuable. Now, enough small talk. Let’s get down to business. For last few years, three words have attracted massive amount of attention among the general public and I am going to connect these three words, so, sit back and keep reading.

They are:

• Digital Marketing

We all have seen numerous movies related AI, now as far the reality goes, AI hasn’t taken its true form yet. But, from the news and Medias we already know that the purpose of AI is to do tasks faster at a much greater scale than human being can ever achieve.

Hence, to realize true purpose of AI, massive amount of data is required. Social media sites, Blogs, Streaming sites, online retails stores can generate such a massive amount of data. With great investor Warren Buffet’s decision to sell his firm’s newspaper division after holding for more than few decades, it is safe to say that news has shifted to internet.

Since general public is spending most of their awakening state in internet, business organisations are desperately trying to target the public for generating more revenues with the help of various technologies. Digital Marketing is the very first step of achieving such a goal.

So, how to become a digital marketer? No, you won’t get the answer from this article, because you will find several other resources (probably better than this) related to that. What you will discover here are what are the basic knowledge you require, even before starting as a digital marketer.

Set a fixed goal

Even before jumping into the world of digital marketing, the very first thing you might want to write down is the goal for becoming a digital marketer.
you might have heard that "digital marketing" is the hot job right now or probably that it pays a lot. But, to be frank, digital marketing is one of the hardest job out there. It isn't a easy job. Just to write a piece of content to for growing the name of a particular brand cost 10-15 hours and that's only 0.01% of the work for a digital marketer.
Now that I have hit you with reality, time to think. Sit, and take a deep breath and write down your thoughts for becoming a digital marketer.
Is it to gain a skill to improve the way to do your business? or do you want to start a business? Do you want that promotion or do you want to get hire at that Company? 
Which one is it?  you have to think about it. Because, when your burned down from the exhaustion that goal behind the head of your will help you to keep moving ahead.

Find your Niche

Great, you now have a goal. What's next?  Oh Yeah. It's time to narrow down on which topic you want to continue applying your digital marketing skills. That's what a niche is. To find your passion and turn into your favor to create a source of income.
For example,  you are really good with photography and editing. You own your Instagram page and post your clicked pictured on there. You can use that to showcase your client your photography skill. Here, you're using "Social Media Marketing (a part of digital marketing) " to create a source of income by doing what you like to do.

Let's face it. Digital Marketing is just marketing on internet. You can use latest technologies and cheap ads service to reach massive amount of people, but it's still marketing. Listing your skills

It is very important that you know about skills that you can use for your digital marketing journey. One of the most important skill that you must master is the art of communication. I mean seriously, this one skill's importance can't be undermine. This is one of the greatest skill one can bag even though it is 2020. Your communication skills can be improved by following points.

• By Reading books every day for around half a hour. 
• By writing a article or essay or perhaps a story.
• By listening podcasts.
• By watching news channel or drama shows. 

There are other skills to. but, at the very beginning this one skill is a must have for every digital marketer.

Building your own personal brand

We all know what a branding is. It is the awareness of a product or a a company among the general public. But, when it comes to personal branding many people back down. Selling yourself to the world is the best possible way to achieve the growth for which you are thinking of branding.

Let's say I gave you two options to choose a pair of shoes. You can't wear it or check the shoes before purchasing. Now one of them belongs to a local brand which cost much less than the one with premium pricing and of course, is a global brand. After some thoughts, you would definitely choose the premium one, just because the company did the branding before launching the product.

Let's look at another example. When you go to buy a battery for your car or home, You would want to purchase a 'Tesla' battery, not because 'Tesla' batteries are good or bad, but because of Elon Musk's personal branding.

Now, Celebrity people doesn't require to do personal branding themselves as media is already doing it. But for you or me, we have to rely on the contents we post on internet. I would suggest to follow this person for more depth knowledge about personal branding.

Creating a mindmap before starting anything

Congratulations! you have finally reached the last point.

Before Starting out, you must write down how you're going use digital marketing for generating massive revenue. This is something called "Conversion Funnel".

• So, you first create contents (Free) to make yourself known among the general public.
• Then You start adding value in your contents (free).
• This will create a traffic in your website/Blog/Social Media Sites.
• Now that you have traffic, you need to start engaging with the visitors from your site/s.
• Ask them to subscribe to your contents and follow you, which will have gave you access to their email_id or social media_id. Now you have a list of email.
• The time has come. Build a solid Content (premium) and send it to your followers.
• Let's say your content is priced at $50 and you wish make $1,000,000 with it
• So, you will be required to have 20,000 sales and for that you would require anywhere between 10 Million to 20 Million followers or even more perhaps.

So, now that you have understand the conversion funnel, you're wondering what next?
